DIRECTOR
Helen Clamp
Since founding DHC in 2012, Helen managed significant team risk management projects for the AJACS project (2014-16), FCO SPP (2017-18) and DFID Tatweer / SGS project (2016-18) before building a team of analysts who work globally. She has built up a reputation in the international business and security risk world as a project manager, analyst and researcher who produces results quickly.
Helen has worked independently with a range of clients, including project managing the research and analysis function on three UK Government major Syria monitoring projects and supporting a UK based security analysis provider. Prior to that, Helen gained 9 years' international experience with the United Nations and UK Foreign Office in West Africa and with the Education Ministry in Hunan Province, People’s Republic of China.
Helen served in the Territorial Army (now Army Reserve) for 4 years in the Royal Signals and the Royal Engineers.
Director
David Clamp
David is an advisor and Director of DH Clamp Consulting Ltd.
David joined DHC full time in 2022 after 8 years as Raleigh International’s Director of Safety and International Operational Support. Previously, he was VSO’s Global Security Management Advisor, supporting teams in 37 countries as they managed risk, and also led VSO’s anti-corruption initiative. David has been a member of the UKTI / FCO Overseas Business Risk Joint Advisory Group and co-founded and now acts as secretariat for the UK Humanitarian / Development Security Focal Point network which meets quarterly.
Before 2007, David was a Country Director and Programme Manager for VSO in West Africa and China. Outside work, he is Chair of the Governing Body for the Royal Alexandra and Albert School, Reigate.
